Biography
Gali Katz (American, b. 1979) is a Connecticut-based artist working across drawing, printmaking, and collage. Her work investigates the relationship between memory, material, and contemporary domestic life. Through layered imagery and a combination of found, repurposed, and traditional materials, Katz transforms familiar objects and experiences into meditations on nostalgia, connection, repetition, and the passage of time. Drawing from the perspectives of mother, daughter, and stay-at-home parent, her work embraces both the contradictions and quiet pleasures of everyday life. Childhood invention, conceptual heirlooms, and the emotional resonance of ordinary things serve as recurring touchstones throughout her practice.
